Access to Rumi is currently offered through private and whole-island bookings only, as the island continues through a period of restoration and refinement.
Here, time slows and space expands. The experience is shaped by place and held in quiet balance with the landscape.
Off-grid and intentionally scaled, Rumi is defined by privacy, simplicity and connection to its environment.
A WORKING ISLAND
A Place in Quiet Evolution
Rumi is not a finished place.
It is an ongoing project of restoration and care, where accommodation, landscape and infrastructure are developed slowly and with restraint.
While Rumi moves through its next phase, the island is not open for individual guest stays. Access is offered through private and whole-island bookings only.
Future phases will continue to introduce carefully placed pavilions, guest spaces and curated experiences, always in step with the island’s capacity and recovery.

Set on a private island off the coast of South Australia, the experience exists in quiet balance with land and sea, offering space, privacy and stillness.
Operating entirely off-grid, every element is considered. Energy is generated on island. Water is sourced and treated on site. The footprint of built structures is intentionally minimal to support long-term restoration of the island.
Nothing here is designed to dominate the landscape. Everything is designed to belong to it.
With a limited number of suites and a small-scale footprint, each stay is personal, unhurried and quietly held.

A seasonally evolving menu shaped by the Southern Ocean and the rhythms of the island. Wild seafood and native coastal ingredients are sourced with care, often foraged from our own shores.
