Louth Island sits in a prime location, as the closest island to the mainland, with easy access to the city of Port Lincoln and many other popular tourist towns, locations and islands, including the Sir Joseph Banks Group Marine Park.
With Louth Bay jetty 1.8 nautical miles to the north west and the extensive boating facilities of Port Lincoln only 9 nautical miles south west from the island you can enjoy an island retreat minutes from city living and services.
Port Lincoln and the surrounding areas are becoming increasingly well known as an international tourism destination of choice for those seeking world class seafood, wildlife and nature based tourism experiences.
The city of Port Lincoln airport is only 4 nautical miles from the island, or 8 minutes by car from the Louth Bay jetty, and offers regular direct and onward flights to Adelaide (35-40 minutes) and further afield.
GETTING HERE
Transfers.
In-house guests will be picked up from the airport and/or their Port Lincoln address and will be transported in our Luxury Mercedes and then enjoy a thrilling ride on our amphibious vessel – Sealegs, to the island.
For day experience guests, we offer Luxury Mercedes transfers to and from Port Lincoln to Louth Bay, or you can bring your own car. Parking is available.
We then offer an exciting ride on our amphibious vessel – Sealegs to and from the Island, or you can bring your own boat. We have a range of times to suit your perfect day available, you can come just for lunch, or stay all day – the choice is yours.
The Sealegs schedule can be accessed during the booking process.

At Rumi, we value each and every guest on the island. Our dedicated team is committed to providing exceptional service and will make every effort to accommodate various accessibility needs. However, please note that during Rumi Reveal, we are restricted with rooms that are located on the first floor, which can only be accessed via stairs.
For guests using wheelchairs, we acknowledge that our Day Experiences may present certain access limitations. We can work to create a bespoke experience for guests that would like to come and experience the unique offerings on the island.

Summer is warm and vibrant, perfect for enjoying the stunning coastline. Our pristine beaches become ideal spots for swimming, fishing, sailing and water sports.

Autumn brings milder temperatures and a burst of colour to the region. Explore the natural beauty of the island and its wildlife and stunning landscapes.
Daytime temperature range: 20°C to 35°C
The air may be crisp, but the Winter skies are clear, and the waters are calm—perfect for reflecting and reconnecting. Stargaze at the uninterrupted skyline and discover new local culinary delights.

Enjoy blooming wildflowers and renewed energy during Spring. The season is great for coastal walks, whale watching, and exploring the island and region.
