Access & Mobility On the Island

At Rumi on Louth, we are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive experience for all guests. As a private island with natural terrain and a staged development approach, accessibility varies across the island. We aim to be transparent about what is currently available and encourage guests to contact us prior to booking so we can discuss individual needs and offer tailored support where possible.

Experiences

Guests with accessibility requirements can participate in many of our hosted experiences. Dining, guided buggy tours and select on-island activities are suitable for guests with limited mobility, with staff assistance available throughout.

Some experiences may involve uneven terrain, stairs or vessel transfers. We recommend discussing your individual needs with our team prior to booking so we can advise on suitability and suggest alternative options where appropriate.

    Getting Around the Island

Rumi on Louth is a natural island environment with unsealed paths and varying terrain. Electric buggies are used to transport guests between key areas of the island, including reception, dining and experience locations.

Guests who use a wheelchair can be transferred to the island via our barge, which allows step-free boarding. Other vessel options require stairs to board and may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility.

Our team is trained to provide mobility assistance and will always discuss the most suitable arrival and transport options with you prior to your visit.

      Accommodation & Facilities

At present, our accommodation is not specifically designed for wheelchair access. Due to the natural landscape and architectural design of the island, guest rooms and bathrooms may include stairs, uneven surfaces and narrow access points.

We encourage guests with accessibility requirements to contact our team before booking so we can provide detailed information about layouts, access conditions and assist in determining whether our current accommodation is suitable for your needs.

Accessible accommodation is part of our long-term development vision, and we are committed to improving access as the island continues to evolve.

We welcome enquiries before booking and are happy to discuss individual requirements so we can recommend the most suitable experiences and support your stay wherever possible.

      Planning Your Visit
